What an APK file actually is on Android
APK stands for Android Package Kit — it is the file format used to install apps on the Android operating system. When you download an app from the Google Play Store, an APK file is what actually gets installed on your phone. Some apps are also available directly as APK files, which you install manually on your phone.
The 6xis Android app is available as an APK and must be obtained through the official channel. The app brings together casino games, sports betting and payments in one place, so you can do everything directly from your phone without opening a browser. Learn more about the 6xis App on our app page.
A separate version is also available for iOS users — it can likewise be obtained through the official channel.
Install the 6xis APK in a few simple steps
Installing an APK on an Android phone is not difficult at all. Read through the steps below carefully — even if it is your first time, you will have no trouble.
- 1 Get the 6xis APK file from the official channel. The file will be saved to your phone's storage.
- 2 In your phone's settings, enable "Allow installation from unknown sources". Android will usually ask you — a popup saying "Allow installs from this source?" will appear; grant permission there.
- 3 Open your file manager, find the downloaded APK file and tap it.
- 4 Tap the "Install" button. Installation will complete within a few seconds.
- 5 Open the app. Log in with your username and password exactly as you would on the 6xis Login page.
- 6 After logging in, choose your preferred game or betting section from the home screen and get started.
Keep in mind before installing
Make sure your phone has enough free storage space. Having an active internet connection will make installation faster. It is best to have at least 30% battery remaining during installation.
How to update to a new version
6xis regularly updates their app — new games are added, performance is improved and security is strengthened. Running an older version may cause some features to not work properly.
To update, get the new APK file from the official channel just as before. You do not need to uninstall the old app separately — installing the new APK file will update it over the existing one. Your account details and balance will remain intact.
After the update, open the app and log in as normal. If you experience any issues, close the app and reopen it, or restart your phone once.
Common installation issues and solutions
Most installation problems are easy to fix. Check the cards below to see which one applies to your situation.
Low storage
If your phone does not have enough free space, the APK will not install. Delete unnecessary photos, videos or apps to free up space, then try again.
Installation blocked
Android blocks apps from unknown sources by default. Go to settings and grant the "Install from unknown sources" permission for your specific file manager or browser.
App won't open
Restart your phone once. If it still does not open, uninstall the app and install it again fresh. Also check that your internet connection is active.
Installation stops midway
A weak network connection can cause the file to download partially. On a better network, get the full file again and reinstall from scratch.
Only use the official APK
Fake or modified APKs for casino apps circulate in many places online. These may look genuine but are dangerous — they can put your personal information and account security at risk. You can read more about safe gaming on the Responsible Gaming page.
- Never install an APK sent via a Telegram group or channel — those are not verified.
- Do not download an APK from a link received in a Facebook post or Messenger.
- Avoid installing files obtained from unfamiliar websites or shared links.
- Always get the 6xis APK through the official channel — that way you can be sure it is genuine and safe.
- Never share your account password with anyone — no 6xis representative will ever ask for your password.
